Trustees needed
Registered Charity 1159551
Local charity, Association of Carers, are looking for trustees with a range of skills and experience.
The Hastings based charity supports unpaid Carers in East Sussex to continue in their caring role by providing
free, high quality, volunteer-led services that encourage independence and reduce isolation.
The Association is looking for people who already have experience of being a trustee, have experience of chairing
a group and also a good understanding of what it is like to care for someone.
Meetings take place at the Association of Carers offices in Hastings on Thursday afternoons once monthly.
Travel expenses are reimbursed.
Chairperson and Carer, Jennifer Allen said: “People often become trustees to ‘give something back’, but there is
a two-way benefit; charities benefit from the range of skills and experience that their trustees bring, but trustees
can learn and develop new skills that may open up new opportunities for them, as well as meeting people who
share their passion.”
If you’re looking for the chance to ‘give something back’, the opportunity to learn and develop new skills, as well
as meet people who share your passion, please contact us.
