Jackie Odum is a Research Associate for the Poverty to Prosperity Program at
the Center for American Progress. Odum has been recognized as a South Texas
Academic Rising Scholar and a Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute Scholar.
Shiv Rawal is a Research Assistant for the Economic Policy team at the Center
for American Progress.
Alex Rowell is a Research Assistant for the Economic Policy team at the Center
for American Progress.
Danyelle Solomon is the Director of Progress 2050 at the Center for American
Progress. Previously, she served as policy counsel at the Brennan Center for
Justice’s Washington, D.C., office where she focused on criminal justice issues,
including sentencing, corrections, and police reform. Prior to joining the
Brennan Center, Solomon served as legislative counsel at the White House
Office of National Drug Control Policy within the Office of Legislative Affairs,
where she focused on federal drug policy. Solomon also served as counsel to
Sen. Ben Cardin (D-MD), then chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee
Terrorism and Homeland Security Subcommittee.
Rebecca Vallas is the Managing Director of the Poverty to Prosperity Program
at the Center for American Progress. She began her anti-poverty career working
directly with low-income individuals and communities, with a focus on people
with disabilities and those with criminal records, as an attorney and policy advocate
at Community Legal Services in Philadelphia. She was twice named one of
Forbes’ “30 Under 30” for law and policy.
Christian Weller is a Senior Fellow at the Center for American Progress and a
professor of public policy at the McCormack Graduate School of Policy and
Global Studies at the University of Massachusetts Boston. His area of expertise
includes retirement income security, macroeconomics, money and banking, and
international finance.
