AW16 will be defined by its liberal, bountiful, lavish and indulgent<br />
feel. Any other charitable synonyms are more than welcome<br />
to set the tone to this overwhelming affluence of fabric drama.<br />
Be ready to bow down to gleaming silks, leather galore, opulent<br />
velvets and our least-loved sequins, all in the most exciting<br />
colours, ranging from plum purple to bright pink and warm<br />
ochres.<br />
As achingly low key as we aspire to be, the truth is that, this<br />
winter, we have a chance to play with sumptuous looks without<br />
feeling over the top or too eccentric. By all means, Gucci is still<br />
teasing us with its mad appliqués, sequins and flowers, but we do<br />
not need to feel cornered by such eccentric statement pieces,<br />
and may instead choose to slip into a rich velvet cocoon without<br />
feeling out of date or frumpy in any way or form…<br />
Why not happily embrace this very permissive mood? Make<br />
certain that your new signature look constantly inspires you to<br />
have fun without defining your outfit to any specific occasion.<br />
Nightwear is acceptable on a lunch date just as much as your<br />
new seductive leopard print dress will be admired in the office…<br />
It is your moment to set the tone and to do so confidently, as<br />
both gluttony and voluptuousness are welcome at any given<br />
chance. As always, embrace being happy in your skin, focus on<br />
your mood rather than the occasion and don’t think twice. The<br />
stigma that a woman burdens herself with imploring she isn’t<br />
accurately dressed if seen disrespecting a given dress code or a<br />
pair of heels or a tailored jacket, is sooooo last season.<br />
Give in and start embracing leopard, velvet, chains, military<br />
and shiny leathers like never before! Lose sight of your specific<br />
outfit, but rather, embrace your look with a new reinvented<br />
style. It’s the demeanour that counts! I have rustled through<br />
the fashion world and have handpicked a few goodies which will<br />
