Hear what Paula Ahlberg
of Wellbeing Warehouse
has to say this month
‘’The success of yoga does not lie in the ability to perform the postures but in how it
positively changes the way we live our life and our relationships’’- T.K.V.Desikachar.
One of the most profound quotes written by one of the greatest sages to bring Yoga
to the forefront. Yoga is growing in popularity as we all strive for not only a healthy
and strong body, but also clarity of mind. This ancient system has its roots going
back thousands of years, and unlike many other trends, has stayed through the test
of time. Why? Because it works.
Try a beginner class where you will learn correct breathing techniques along with
how to safely come into the postures. From there on you can move into level 2
classes and even practices such as the more dynamic Ashtanga Yoga, and if you
really want to take on a challenge and leave feeling energised, try ‘Hot Yoga’. All
available at Wellbeing Warehouse in Newmarket.
Did you know...
• Eggs contain the highest quality protein
you can buy.
• Egg protein has just the right mix of
essential amino acids needed by humans
to build tissues. It is second only to
mother’s milk for human nutrition.
• A large egg contains only 70 calories and
5 grams of fat.
• Egg yolks are one of the few foods that
are a naturally good source of Vitamin D.
Lean Eating Lorna’s
Lemon and Coconut Balls
These are absolutely
delicious and incredibly
simple
Ingredients:
100g of raw cashew nuts
6 Medjool dates
Zest of 1 lemon
2 tablespoons of desiccated coconut
1 tablespoon of white chia seeds
1 tablespoon of melted coconut oil
Method:
Blitz all the ingredients together in a food
processor until mixture is sticky. Try not
to over blitz, maybe just pulse until sticky.
Roll them into balls or pop into moulds/
ice cube trays. Put them in the fridge to
chill. Snack on as and when… if they last
that long!
