the food made at Sandinista focuses on
simplicity with an eye to making dishes
unique and innovative.
With a large selection of Tapas dishes,
meat and cheese boards and delicious
desserts, Sandinista revels in its Latin
inspirations and offers food fit for an
Olympian. All dishes are selected as
part of a joint partnership between food
consultant Anthony Flinn and Si Ord,
before being prepared by Head Chef
Jose Wong.
As inclusive as the atmosphere is
at Sandinista, sometimes you just
want a room to yourselves, be it for a
party, a function or just a casual get
together. As such, Sandinista offers
its patrons private room hire facilities.
A 100-capacity room with live DJ/
band facilities, the private party room
is available for hire both day and night
for a variety of purposes and packages
can be arranged to suit specific needs.
Guests looking for a smaller gettogether
can book regular tables which
can accommodate up to 7 people. The
downstairs bar area can also be booked
for free, providing a minimum bar spend
is achieved.
Of course, no Latin experience is
complete without a good hearty lashing
of rum. As such, the bar at Sandinista
comes fully stocked to fill you with the
fiery Latin spirit(s). In celebration of
the two cornerstone sprits of any Latin
cocktail, Rum and Tequila, Sandinista has
an expansive but easy-to-understand
cocktail menu that will more get you
in the party mood than leave you
scratching your head in confusion.
So dedicated are the staff at Sandinista
to the craft of cocktail creation, that you
can even book a cocktail masterclass, to
learn the elusive art of making a great
tasting concoction. That doesn’t mean
you’ll be out of luck if you consider
any drink that so much as has a straw
in it a “cocktail” though. The bar is
also stocked with a selection of pub
favourites like Guinness alongside craft
beer offerings, so they can cater to any
beverage requirement.
Boasting such an expansive selection of
hearty foods and delectable cocktails,
it’s inevitable that from time to time
guests will require a pick-me-up. As
such, the bar also serves coffee sourced
from Nicaragua, the country which
served as the inspiration for much of
the ethos of the original Sandinistas
themselves.
With a lively environment and plenty
of party vibes to spare, Sandinista also
frequently opens its doors to massive
party events, be it a student night, a
guest DJ takeover or live music event.
Open until 3AM daily, you’ll be hard
pressed to find anywhere in Manchester
which embodies the spirit of pure,
unadulterated joy as much as Sandinista
does. So grab a few mates, get your
