RECENT DEVELOPMENTS<br />

Acclaimed academic, businessman and renowned<br />

author Dr David N. Abdulai was recently appointed<br />

Executive Director of the SBL, following a twoyear<br />

search for the ideal candidate.<br />

Dr Abdulai holds a BA in Political Science<br />

and Journalism from Howard University and an<br />

MA in International Development Economics<br />

from the School of International Service (SIS) at<br />

American University in Washington, DC. His PhD<br />

(Distinction) is in International Economics and<br />

Technology Analysis and Management from the<br />

Graduate School of International Studies (GSIS),<br />

University of Denver in Colorado, USA.<br />

Before joining the SBL, Dr Abdulai was<br />

based in Malaysia where he worked as Dean of<br />

the Faculty of Business and Law at Multimedia<br />

University, and as Director of Internationalisation<br />

of the University. He also worked as CEO<br />

of Nolaygewerks Initiatives, a management<br />

consulting company.<br />

PROMOTION<br />

The SBL utilizes traditional marketing tools for<br />

promotional purposes. Advertising and editorial<br />

is placed in leading newspapers, and contributions<br />

appear in relevant supplements and surveys.<br />

The SBL has been featured in leading business<br />

publications such as CEO Magazine and Succeed,<br />

whilst guests and management have appeared on<br />

various TV programmes.<br />
