“I [was] really excited to
go to state again,” Kilbane
said. “My form was off some
[in the sectional], but I [was]
still happy to make it and
play at state again.”
Senior Morgan Howard
and junior Dayna Waner
each shot a 92 in tying for
46th overall and rounding
out the Top 4 golfers for
Sandburg. Seniors Jenna
Perdue (103) and Sarah
Gleason (113) were the other
Eagles golfers.
“For Emilyee to go downstate
four straight years is an
incredible run,” Sandburg
coach Todd Allen said. “I
don’t think anyone here has
ever done that. I’m proud of
both her and Hannah. They
did a great job. Plus, Morgan
and Dayna both shot 92s for
their best rounds so far.
“With this field of teams,

at the sectional, with windy
conditions and so much on
the line. I’m unbelievably
proud of them to do that.”
At state, McGiles finished
her season by tying
for 35th with a two-day total
of 157 (80 Day 1, 77 Day
2). Kilbane finished tied for
45th with a two-day total of
159 (78, 81).
