thank these guys for letting the<br />

public know that this contractor<br />

is not doing its part to provide<br />

Longtime Local 210<br />

Business Manager Passes<br />

We are saddened to report the passing of<br />

Matthew Gress Sr., a member of Local<br />

210, Erie, PA. Matt was initiated into Local 210<br />

in 1978 and was elected financial secretary and<br />

business manager in 1983, a position he held<br />

until his retirement in 2007. During his career he<br />

held the positions of president of the Mid-States<br />

Roofers District Council, and president and then<br />

secretary-treasurer of the Northeast Roofers District<br />

Council. He was also president of the Erie<br />

AFL-CIO and chairman of the Board of the Erie<br />

Western Pennsylvania Port Authority. His other<br />

auto racing and community<br />

activities with<br />

Graduation<br />

Local 96, Minneapolis-St. Paul, MN, graduated 30<br />

men and women to journeylevel roofers in April.<br />

The graduates were honored at a ceremony at the local<br />

union. Congratulations and may you have a long, fulfilling<br />
