Maine Moose!<br />

F<br />

loyd Stever, member of Local 195, Syracuse, NY, has<br />

been entering the lottery for a Maine Moose Permit<br />

for 32 years and he finally got picked in 2015. Brother Stever<br />

and his buddies took 12 hours to pack out. He bagged a<br />

moose that was determined to be 5½ years old and 945 lbs.<br />

with a 46” spread and 13 points. Brother Stever is a 45-year<br />

union member who has served as shop steward and Executive<br />

Board member of his local.<br />

After 32 years of waiting, Floyd Stever gets his moose<br />

with a 270-130 grain Franks bullet.<br />

arly retiree Luis R. Caballero had a great Father’s Day fishing with his<br />

family in the Gulf of Mexico in Tampa, FL. Brother Caballero, member<br />

of Local 10, Paterson, NJ, caught and released a 20 lb. common snook. It was<br />

his first time fishing in Florida and he hopes to do it again soon—preferably<br />

during snook season so they can take some home.<br />
