SPORT NZ<br />

<strong>Sport</strong> NZ is the major partner and funder of <strong>Harbour</strong> <strong>Sport</strong>.<br />

Their vision is: Everyone, everyday, enjoying and excelling through sport and recreation.<br />

Their mission is: Creating a sport and recreation environment where more New<br />

Zealanders participate, support and win.<br />

<strong>Sport</strong> NZ partners with <strong>Harbour</strong> <strong>Sport</strong> in recognition of the extensive networks,<br />

stakeholders and relationships the Trust has in the community, as well as the good<br />

reputation <strong>Harbour</strong> <strong>Sport</strong> has in the region.<br />

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT<br />

<strong>Sport</strong>NZ is the key funder for <strong>Harbour</strong> <strong>Sport</strong>. We are committed to achieve <strong>Sport</strong>NZ<br />

outcomes within our region building the capability and capacity of sport and recreation.<br />

<strong>Harbour</strong> <strong>Sport</strong> is a funding partner of Auckland Council, part of the legacy contract<br />

with the North Shore City Council. We are also funding partners with the Rodney Local<br />

Board and Hibiscus and Bays Local Board which is the legacy from the old Rodney<br />

District Council.<br />

<strong>Harbour</strong> <strong>Sport</strong> continues to provide services to the sport community to facilitate the<br />

growth of sport and recreation and increase the uptake of sporting lifestyles.<br />

All 5 local boards have identified <strong>Harbour</strong> <strong>Sport</strong> as an important stakeholder in helping<br />

to shape their respective communities by using sport and recreation to develop health,<br />

social and economic benefits, as well as providing an enhanced sense of identity and<br />

wellbeing.<br />

The Health Sector continues to be an important partner to <strong>Harbour</strong> <strong>Sport</strong>. The<br />

Ministry of Health has invested in <strong>Harbour</strong> <strong>Sport</strong> through the Active Families and GRx<br />

programmes as well as the WDHB through Pacific Active Families.<br />

<strong>Harbour</strong> <strong>Sport</strong> appreciates and values the support of Charitable Trust and Gaming<br />

funders who have provided funding for the many important sport and recreation<br />

programs and projects throughout the year.<br />
