Attaining New Heights in Teacher<br />

Induction<br />

Strong, successful teacher induction<br />

<strong>program</strong>s are a crucial component of any<br />

initiative aimed at improving teaching<br />

and student <strong>learning</strong>. Induction <strong>program</strong><br />

leaders and teams are tasked with<br />

delivering this success. In this session<br />

we will discuss key components of the<br />

New Teacher Center induction model.<br />

We will engage participants in protocols<br />

to examine, analyze, and assess their<br />

local induction practices. Strategies for<br />

identifying and collecting data about<br />

<strong>program</strong> impact on teacher retention and<br />

effectiveness will also be explored.<br />

moving <strong>learning</strong> <strong>forward</strong> and enhancing<br />

student success? Engage in exploration<br />

of professional practices, structures, and<br />

supports that inspire collaborative inquiry<br />

as the basis for growth that leads to<br />

greater equity and student achievement.<br />

Explore how to characterize and describe<br />

professional <strong>learning</strong> impacts and how<br />

these might be assessed to demonstrate<br />

their relationship to improved student<br />
