So many people developing Alzheimer’s Disease. Is there anything<br />
I can do to prevent the disease?<br />
Currently there is not a cure because we do not know what causes<br />
Alzheimer’s. We know there are plaques and tangles in the brain<br />
but we do not know how these occur. The National Institute of<br />
Health looked at similarities of those afflicted with Alzheimer’s<br />
Disease in the United States to see what they had in common.<br />
Among their findings were physical inactivity, smoking, depression,<br />
mid-life hypertension and low education among others. This would<br />
lead us to presume a life style which includes exercise, no smoking,<br />
self-fulfillment, proper nutrition and cognitive stimulation may help<br />
offset the symptoms of Alzheimer’s Disease.<br />
