Upon arrival, guests are escorted to the ladies or gentlemen’s locker room. The locker rooms each feature a dry heat infrared sauna, rainfall showers and private changing rooms. The spa’s comfy robes and sandals allow guests to quickly acclimate to the relaxing environment. The spa provides guests with a complimentary glass of wine, champagne or mimosa, as well as an extensive selection of teas. Before and after their treatments, guests may take advantage of the spa’s two “quiet rooms.” One is a large, bright, sunfilled room. The other is a smaller, darker, cocooning room. Owner Allison Murphy encourages guests to “come as early as they like and stay as long as they need to decompress and unwind. It’s the quiet time before and after service that is a signature of what a great spa experience is.” Prior to treatment, guests fill out a short form detailing any concerns or goals they have. The therapist will then escort the guest to one of the many luxurious treatment rooms. After the service, guests are provided with a refreshing glass of water to rehydrate the body. They are then welcome to relax in either of the lounges, enjoy the sauna or rinse off in a rainfall shower. “We want them to relax and enjoy the amenities as much as they can to achieve the full spa experience,” Allison said. The Woodhouse Day Spa staff consists of incredibly talented PROMOTIONAL FEATURE multi-licensed therapists and an amazing hospitality crew, who deliver an exceptional experience. The spa carries top-notch product lines such as the award-winning SkinCeuticals and Voya. There are a variety of facial options, but the most popular by far is the Hydrafacial. Allison describes the treatment as “the new age of microdermabrasion. The Hydrafacial gives instant lifting, tightening and brightening. It is the most results-driven facial we offer.” Those looking for a more relaxing facial will surely love the signature Minkyti facial. This award-winning treatment consists of a seaweed mask on the face and décolleté. “We partner with Voya, an organic line by a family-run business in Ireland,” Allison said. “They harvest Photos by tonyrappa@capturevideo-photos.com seaweed from the beaches of the North Sea of Ireland. The seaweed comes in dehydrated packets that we rehydrate in the spa.” Another popular treatment is the Lazy Days Rest and Renewal Ritual, which guests have affectionately nicknamed “The Mermaid Bath.” This treatment starts with a body scrub followed by a 15-minute luxurious, detoxifying seaweed bath. Next, guests indulge in a relaxing full-body massage.
