To support artists residencies and related activities. San Francisco's Playwrights' Foundation, New York City's The<br />

New Black Fest, and <strong>the</strong> Latina/o Theatre Commons' Carnaval hosted by Chicago's DePaul University will partner<br />

with Djerassi on a three-year program with a focus on nurturing <strong>the</strong> talent of emerging playwrights of color. All<br />

residents will receive stipends, access to tools and equipment, fabrication and production space, and a<br />

collaborative environment with fellow artists.<br />

Eyebeam Atelier, Inc. (aka Eyebeam)<br />

$20,000 Brooklyn, NY<br />

To support artists residencies and creative technologists and related activities. Resident artists will be provided<br />

with studio space, housing, meals, local transportation, and administrative support. Artists will be encouraged to<br />

share <strong>the</strong>ir work with <strong>the</strong> public through exhibitions and installations, per<strong>for</strong>mances, panel discussions,<br />

workshops, hackathons, and o<strong>the</strong>r opportunities to introduce <strong>the</strong> work to a broad audience.<br />

Fell's Point Creative Alliance, Inc. (aka Creative Alliance)<br />

$15,000 Baltimore, MD<br />

To support artists residencies and related activities. Resident artists will receive feedback about <strong>the</strong>ir work from<br />

visiting established artists, as well as have opportunities to show <strong>the</strong>ir work in open houses and o<strong>the</strong>r studio<br />

events. Resident artists will provide at least one free arts workshop <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> public. Professional development<br />

training such as classes about grant writing, pricing art, and navigating <strong>the</strong> tax system will be offered to <strong>the</strong><br />

resident artists.<br />

Fine <strong>Arts</strong> Work Center in Provincetown, Inc. (aka FAWC)<br />

$20,000 Provincetown, MA<br />

To support residencies <strong>for</strong> emerging visual artists and writers. Resident artists will be provided apartments,<br />

workspaces, and a monthly stipend, as well as access to a woodshop, printmaking studio, and digital media lab.<br />

They will lead workshops in local public schools and senior centers, as well as participate in community<br />

exhibitions or readings.<br />

Franconia Sculpture Park (aka Franconia)<br />

$20,000 Shafer, MN<br />

To support <strong>the</strong> Artist Residency and Exhibition Program. Artists will be awarded fully funded residencies<br />

supporting <strong>the</strong> creation of large-scale, three-dimensional artwork to be exhibited <strong>for</strong> at least 12 months at <strong>the</strong><br />

sculpture park. The program also will benefit local residents who participate in public arts learning events, such<br />

as artist talks and guided tours.<br />

Friends of A Studio in <strong>the</strong> Woods (aka A Studio in <strong>the</strong> Woods)<br />

$15,000 New Orleans, LA<br />

To support environmentally <strong>the</strong>med artists residencies and related activities. Resident artists will examine how<br />

communities and cultures are adapting to climate change. An open call will be issued to artists of all disciplines<br />

who have demonstrated an established dialogue with environmental and culturally related issues and a<br />

commitment to producing work with deep connections to <strong>the</strong> subject matter.<br />

Headlands Center <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>Arts</strong> (aka Headlands)<br />

$35,000 Sausalito, CA<br />

To support artist residencies and an artist commissioning program. Residencies will focus on emerging and midcareer<br />

artists. The commissioning programs will offer support <strong>for</strong> special projects created by past participating<br />
