24. The second successful meeting of Pakistan Librarians Welfare Organization (PLWO) was held at FAST – NU,
Lahore on December 25, 2016.

3. Daughter of Mr. Javed Iqbal, Senior Librarian, Higher Education Commission (HEC) passed away on
August 28, 2016.
4. Son of Mr. Syed Waqas Saeed, Librarian, Municipal Public Library, Vehari passed away on September 1,
2016
5. Mother-in-Law of Mr. Ashfaq Hussain, Librarian, Supreme Court of Pakistan, Lahore Registry, passed
away on September 7, 2016.
6. Mr. Din Muhammad, Librarian ®, Municipal Public Library, Vehari passed away on October 19, 2016
7. Mother of Mr. Jawad, Librarian Government College Shahdra Lahore, passed away on October 20, 2016.
8. Son of Mr. Fayyaz Ahmad Pirzada (Former Librarian, Pakistan Medical Research Council) expired in a car
accident on November 10, 2016.
9. Mother of Mr. Mushahid Hussain (Ex- Chief Librarian PIMS) passed away on November 30, 2016.
10. Elder brother of Prof. Dr. Khalid Mehmood, Department of Information Management, University of the
Punjab, Lahore has passed away on December 5, 2016.

December 22, 2016.
