2005 – PEGAS starts to modernise: new CNC machines are
purchased, and there is a push towards building new production
facilities. Expansion into new markets abroad pushes forward.
At the international mechanical engineering fair in Brno, PEGAS
presents new band saw types, including the 850x100 GOLEM,
500x500 HERKULES and a completely new model range.
2006 – Building work on a new production facility starts; the
car park for the steadily increasing number of staff is extended,
and new saw types are launched: 510x510 HERKULES, 290x290
A-CNC, and the unique 1200x1600 GOLEM and 1250x1600
PORTAL sawing machines. The 1200x1600 saw is a huge
success at the international mechanical engineering fair in Brno,
where it is exhibited to the general public for the first time. The
machine wins the gold medal for the best exhibit at the fair,
and is also praised by TECHNIK+MARKT (a trade journal) and
nominated in the contest for the product of the year.
2007 – In March of this year, the company celebrated the 15th
anniversary of its founding; it builds a new production facility
to mark the occasion. The new, premium premises again help to
speed up assembly.
2009 – Pegas-Gonda's state-of-the-art technology means
that the engineering company can shift to 100% in-house
production. The biggest benefit of in-house research and
development is, in particular, being able to respond quickly
to customer requirements in the field of tailored solutions.
The speed and quality of design in Design and Engineering
are based on future-orientated CAD 3 software tools; threedimensional
components are routed directly through the CNC
processing centres.
Annual production increases to 8,000 band saws. Five new
models are developed, and a belt driven chip conveyor is
introduced.
2011 – The modernisation drive of the company site pushes
on; in particular the drives and routes inside the complex are
modernised, thus improving the quality and efficiency of saw
shipment.
Pegas products are exhibited and presented at more than 20 of
the major engineering fairs each year.
Thanks to many investments in development of the state-ofthe-art
production facilities (supported by CNC lathes, CNC
laser machines, welding robots) and many optimisations in
manufacturing, Pegas-Gonda s.r.o. has achieved an excellent
market position and established itself as a stable, traditionally
managed enterprise on the domestic and international markets.
