the very light that God has given me for His people<br />

they shall have.<br />

My mind is inclined to be perplexed, but the<br />

enemy shall not obtain the victory in this way. I<br />

must break up my establishment. I must discharge<br />

my workers and cut off all expenses possible; and<br />

then what? I know not. Let the Lord direct. I hear<br />

the Voice which spoke to Abraham saying, "I am<br />

the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou<br />

perfect." Gen. 17:1. <strong>The</strong> Lord will not leave me to<br />

be perplexed as I now am. I shall make special<br />

prayer to my heavenly Father and shall not rest<br />

until I see something more done in Washington.<br />

In the evening I walked to the place of meeting<br />

and spoke in a large hall to about one hundred<br />

people. Oh, how my heart yearns to see the people<br />

of God coming up to their high calling! I greatly<br />

desire that we should have an increase of faith and<br />

stand as valiant soldiers of Jesus Christ. I spoke<br />

from John 14:1-4: "Let not your heart be troubled:<br />

ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my
