MINUTES OF THE BOARD
October 26, 2004
The Board of Trustees of the Pasadena Independent School District met in regular
session on Tuesday, October 26, 2004, at 5:30 P.M. in the Board Room of the
Administration Building, 1515 Cherrybrook, Pasadena, Texas.

The presiding officer called the meeting to order; Mr. Braden gave the
Invocation; Mr. Kendrick led the Pledge Allegiance.
Personnel adjourned to executive session at 5:33 P.M. pursuant to
Texas Government Code Section 551.074 for the purpose of
considering the appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment,
duties, discipline or dismissal of a public officer, employee, or to hear
complaints or charges against a public officer or employee.
The Personnel Committee reconvened into open session at 5:57 P.M.
and the Board adjourned into executive session at 5:59 P.M. pursuant
to Texas Government Code Sections 551.074 for the purpose of
considering the appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment,
duties, discipline or dismissal of a public officer, employee, or to hear
complaints or charges against a public officer or employee; 551.071 to
consult with district’s attorneys concerning matters on which the
attorney’s duty to the District under the Code of Professional
Responsibility clearly conflicts with the Texas Open Meetings Act;
551.072 for the purpose of discussing the purchase, exchange, lease or
value of real property.
The Board reconvened into open session at 7:40 P.M. and conducted
the following business.
Ms. Pavone, principal for Pearl Hall Elementary, introduced two music
teachers involved with their Building Cultural Bridges Project, Ms.
Surface and Ms. Lupold. They have partnered with NASA, the Houston
Symphony and the Houston Grand Opera. A slide presentation was
shown and 5 th grade students sang.
