Muse Developments’ City Place scheme, developed in
conjunction with Cheshire West and Chester Council, is
fast becoming the most important new commercial
regeneration scheme in Chester. The scheme is
transforming an underutilised area of the city into stateof-the-art
office accommodation, complemented by retail,
leisure and public realm, bringing more than £96m to the
city’s economy.
One City Place, marked the first ambitious steps in
Chester’s Central Business Quarter and the City Place
development. Launched in January 2016, One City Place
comprises 70,000 sq ft of Grade A, BREEAM ‘Excellent’
office space over six-storeys and is the first speculative
office development in Chester city centre in recent years.
Cheshire West and Chester Council’s 15-year strategic vision
for the city, the ‘One City Plan’, identified that the existing
commercial offering was limited in terms of floorplate size,
quality, accessibility and location. City Place was developed
in response to this, in order to provide the business
community with options that they hadn’t had before.
