Lighting planning Familiarity with the premises and processes of diff erent branches of business is a prerequisite for optimal lighting planning. I-Valo's employees have strong experience in planning diff erent demanding lighting projects for both indoor and outdoor spaces. 3D lighting plans I-Valo uses the independent DIALux lighting planning programme, which does not depend on luminaire manufacturers and makes the visualisation of lighting plans possible. As a result of visualised lighting calculation results, the eff ects of diff erent solutions and options are easily evaluated. A CAD layout in DXF or DWG format can be imported in the programme to facilitate the placement of lighting-aff ecting fi ttings, process devices, maintenance platforms, stairways, etc. The results of a complete lighting plan can be visualised in a 3D view at diff erent levels. The lighting planning software can be downloaded free of charge at www.dial.de The 3D view can be used to check the placement and orientation of luminaires. The 3D view visualises the placement of luminaires. I-Valo PlugIn The CAD layout accelerates the placement of structures and devices. The lighting of all levels can be included in the lighting calculations for the space I-Valo has been a DIALux partner since 2006. In the programme, it uses 3D models for its luminaires. The models make the placement and orientation of the luminaires easier. The light distribution fi les (PlugIn) and their update packages can be downloaded at www.i-valo.com under DIALux in the Main Menu. The False Colour printout shows how light is distributed to the space. The luminaire image, power, lamp and light distribution can be found under the Luminaire Menu.
