Kuselo appeals to community
to support winter drive
KUSELO is busy collecting
blankets, bedding and warm
clothing towards their "lets
help for winter" drive currently
underway in support of children
and adults who will feel
the cold this coming winter.
'It is a sad reality that many
children and adults are homeless
and for those that do
have homes they are unable
to afford or obtain warm clothing
and bedding,' said Kuselo
director, Amanda Coetzee.
'With your help we will be able
to keep some persons warm
this winter.'She asked that all
unwanted clothing items that
you may are donated towards
the winter drive as people
are desperately in need of
help.
'Our biggest age range is 5 to
12 and 17 to 25 years. We
also have adults who are in
our care, therefore any adult
sizes are most welcome.
'A big appeal is also for any
shoes - all sizes, as most of
the children who we serve in
the community do not have
any shoes to wear.
'We also appeal to the
community for any food items
such as canned foods or dry
condiments so that we can
start preparing food parcels
that we can hand out,' said
Amanda.Kuselo is also a
distribution centre and 'we
will collaborate with
community
charity
organisations closer to June
to donate items to them if we
have collected a large
amount to ensure that
individuals in all areas benefit
this coming winter as it is our
wish that most individuals
have a warm winter this year,'
concluded Amanda.If you
wish to donate please contact
Amanda on 0725127227,
thank you for your support.
