FOR 2016 PLACEMENTS!!<br />
P.Nishita of IV year EEE exhibited SMART<br />
SEGREGATOR (IOT Product) at the INTEL-DSP Event<br />
at Telangana-Hub (T-Hub) on 8 September 2016.<br />
SMART SEGREGATOR is a smart bin which<br />
automatically segregates the dry and wet waste<br />
which facilitates implementation of the current<br />
waste management system and user-friendly.<br />

Having achieved a very good placement<br />
numbers in the very first batch (2016), it was a<br />
challenge for Placement Team and 2017 batch<br />
students to live up to or beat the benchmarks set<br />
by the first batch. This is felt even more<br />
challenging with many IT companies cutting<br />
down their requirements of fresher's<br />
recruitment this year.<br />
However, training and grooming programs<br />
planned by placement team and well executed<br />
by the college faculty as well as external<br />
agencies have produced excellent results in<br />
terms of placements. The account opened with 2<br />
students placed in John Deere (first for BVRITH)<br />
and followed by 109 students selected by<br />
Capgemini (compared to 37 for 2016) and 71<br />
students selected by Tech Mahindra (32 in 2016<br />
batch).<br />
Other companies in which students got placed<br />
include GGK Technologies, Robost, Seneca<br />
Global, HTC, NTT, ZenQ, etc. So far <strong>14</strong>4 students<br />
are placed with total 195 offers. There are 258<br />
students in 2017 batch while 184 students are<br />
eligible for placements. Ov<strong>era</strong>ll, more than 70%<br />
of eligible students got placement offers with 2<br />
months.<br />

WORKSHOP<br />
All EEE and ECE faculty attended the One day<br />
workshop on 'Python for Scientific<br />
Research'. The hands-on workshop was<br />
delivered by Prof.Prabhu Ramachandran,<br />
Dept.of Aerospace, IIT Bombay on 26 Nov16.<br />
MOU<br />
FOSSEE at IIT Bombay is excited to conduct<br />
Satellite SciPy India 2016 Conference in the four<br />
institutes of Sri Vishnu Educational Society.<br />
BVRITH is one of the Remote centres for SciPy<br />
India 2016 Conference. MOU was signed<br />
between BVRITH and IIT Bombay in the presence<br />
of Prof.Prabhu Ramachandran, Dept.of<br />
Aerospace, IIT Bombay, Principal Dr. K.V.N.<br />
Sunitha and SVES Director Dr S. Sundarajan.<br />
EMERGING<br />
OPPORTUNITIES<br />
Three Day faculty development Program on Emerging Opportunities for Research<br />
and Development in VLSI from 19th to 21st October 2016 was organized under<br />
IEEE SB, BVRITH. The program was inaugurated by the hands of chief guest Dr.<br />
K. Subbarangaiah, Director, Veda-IIT, and Principal Dr. K. V. N. Sunitha. Ms. P.<br />
Prashanti and Ms. R. Sridevi working as an Asst. Prof's and the conveners of the<br />
Program reported that Participants from various Engineering Colleges like<br />
GITAM, VNR VJIET, VJIT, CMRCET, Bhoj Reddy, BVRIT Narsapur, Geethanjali,<br />
etc. participated. Resource persons from Industries like Veda-IIT, AMS, RCI and<br />
from Academic Institutions like IIT Hyd<strong>era</strong>bad, B V Raju Inst. of Technology,<br />
Muffkhamja, Geethanjali, MRCET, etc were invited.
