Champagne Pick Me Up<br />
What better than the combination of dry champagne and cognac<br />
to provide the perfect before- or after-dinner cocktail? And it’s so<br />
easy to make, as well as quick, meaning you can easily pamper<br />
your dinner guests with a cocktail that will certainly get the<br />
juices flowing ...<br />
Ingredients<br />
2cl cognac (quality and brand of your choice)<br />
2cl fresh orange juice<br />
very small amount of Grenadine<br />
cooled champagne<br />
ice cubes<br />
Prepare chilled champagne glasses. Put all the ingredients<br />
except the champagne into a cocktail shaker and mix well.<br />
Allow to cool before pouring into the glasses. Add the<br />
champagne and serve immediately.<br />

Prepare some cocktail glasses. Place all the ingredients except<br />
the champagne and cherry ice cream in a cocktail shaker and<br />
mix well. Pour into the glasses and add the champagne, with<br />
a good spoonful of cherry ice cream. Serve immediately.<br />
Cosmopolitan<br />
A classic cocktail that goes down well on any occasion. Once<br />
again, easy to make and provides a taste sensation that’ll delight<br />
the taste buds. A great aperitif to enjoy before any meal.<br />
Ingredients<br />
6cl cognac (quality and brand of your choice)<br />
1.5cl Cointreau<br />
1.5cl lemon juice<br />
3cl cranberry juice<br />
crushed ice<br />
wedge of lime<br />
Prepare and chill cocktail or martini glasses. Place all the<br />
ingredients except the lime into a cocktail shaker. Mix well<br />
and allow to chill. Strain into the glasses and garnish with a<br />
wedge of lime. Serve immediately.<br />
