The Macmillan Bake Off...
School’s out for summer so what could be
better than six weeks of blissful family time
with your little ones... second only to cakes!
We are encouraging everyone to get involved in our
very first Macmillan Bake Off & Coffee Morning event
on the 3rd September. It’s a fabulous opportunity for
everyone to get baking and raise money for Macmillan
Cancer Support. It’s a chance for you to bake and
munch your way through countless spongetacular
delights and scrumbdelicious cupcakes… afterall, all
the family loves cake (particularly when it comes to
licking the cake bowl out afterwards).
Here at Macmillan we are challenging you take part in
an exciting new event. You can enter as a team, as a
duo or individuals; be a pupil from a school and enter
on behalf of that school, or any other organisation. If
you are aged 9+ years get involved! All you have to
do is bake your cake at home & bring it to the event.
There’s also a tombola and a cracking ‘huge’ jar of
jelly beans to be won - every parents nightmare, but
lots of fun for children.
Best of all the event is a family one, free for
everybody to attend, we just ask for a donation of
£3 to enter the competition (of which 100% goes to
Macmillan). The Cake ‘Show’ begins at 11am with
judging by the ladies from the Lincoln Women’s
Institute starting shortly after. From 2pm we’ll all get
to eat those devilishly delicious entries. Don’t worry

if you want to bake and don’t want to enter that’s ok
too... we will be serving delicious tea and coffee and
juices for the little ones.
Cool trophies will be awarded for the top 3 in each
age category and gift vouchers for the 1st place
winners in each category.
