Hebrew slaves were released at the end of six
years
"...I made a covenant with your fathers in the day that
I brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, out of the
house of bondmen, saying, at the end of seven
years let ye go every man his brother an Hebrew,
which hath been sold unto thee; and when he hath
served thee six years, thou shalt let him go free
from thee..."
The land receives rest at the end of six years.
Exodus 23:10 "And six years thou shalt sow thy
land, and shalt gather in the fruits thereof: But the
seventh year thou shalt let it rest and lie still; that the
poor and the needy shall eat."
God commanded the Israelites to give their land a Sabbath
rest after 6 years of farming it (Ex 23:10-11)(Lev 25:1-7).
The glory of the Lord covered Mt. Sinai for 6 days (Ex 24:16).
