COMBINATIONS OF A
NUMBER
The tripling of a number emphasizes the
characteristics of the number:
Thus;
• 666 is the number of man, and it symbolises fitly,
therefore, the essence of human wisdom, and also of
imperfection.
• 888 is the number or gematria of the name "JESUS."
• 999 is the number connected with judgment, hence
the numerical value of the phrase th orgh mou (tee orgee
mou), my wrath, is 999. The same number is very prominent
in the judgment on Sodom. (See further under Nine.)
The Number 40
The letter Mem is the thirteenth letter of the
Hebrew Alphabet. The letter Mem is equivalent
to forty (40).
