Medicine of the Prophet

With this it is also imperative to bear in mind that illness is not always
an affliction. Rather, it is a test from All\h to identify if his servant can
remain patient and steadfast through times of adversity. We have been
taught (and promised) that whoever is patient at such times will reap
great rewards.
All\h I states in the Qur’\n,
‘O you who believe, seek assistance through
patience and prayer; surely All\h is with the patient.’
Qur\n, al-Baqarah, 2:153
Honey
‘And your Lord revealed to the bee saying: Make hives in
the mountains and in the trees and in what they build.
Then eat of all the fruits and walk in the ways of your Lord
submissively. There comes forth from within it a beverage
of many colours, in which there is healing for men;
most surely there is a sign in this for a people who reflect.’
Qur’\n an-Na#l 16:68-69
Ab[ Sa`|d al-Khudr| t narrates that a man came to the Prophet r and
said, ‘My brother has some abdominal trouble.’
The prophet r said to him, ‘Let him drink honey.’ The man came for
the second time and the Prophet r said to him, ‘Let him drink honey.’
He came for a third time and the Prophet r said, ‘Let him drink honey.’
He returned again and said, ‘I have done that.’
The Prophet r then said, ‘All\h has said the truth but your brother’s
abdomen has lied. Let him drink honey.’
So he made him drink honey again and he was cured.
