Travel Itinerary Day 1 Arrive Leh Today you will take early morning flight to Leh. Upon arrival, our representatives will assist you at Kushok Bakula Rinpoche (KBR) Airport for a transfer to your hotel. Once you check into your hotel with all formalities you will be at leisure for rest of the day. We recommend you this day to get acclimatized with the high altitude climate and low air pressure so that you become fit for rest of your journey. Evening can be utilized for a short walk to local markets. Return back to your rooms for overnight stay. Day 2 Leh local tour This day, enjoy a full day sightseeing tour of the city and visit the famous monasteries and palaces there. This day you will be taken to the Stok Palace, 16th century Shey Palace, Thiksey Monastery and Hemis Monastery. Return to hotel after the daylong excursion for leisure and overnight stay. Day 3 Leh to Nubra Valley After breakfast check out hotel and drive to Nubra Valley (125km) crossing Khardongla Pass at 18360ft above sea level, the world’s highest motorable pass. Afternoon visit Diskit & Hunder Monasteries and the white sand dunes with perhaps a Camel Safari on the double humped camels which are found only in Nubra as far as India is concerned. Stay overnight in Nubra Valley. Day 4 Nubra Valley to Leh After breakfast visit Samstanling Monastery and then drive back to Leh via Khardongla Pass. Evening you are free at leisure; opportunity to explore yourself the local bazaars or time for last minute shopping on your own (items like pure Pashmina shawls, good pearls, Chinese cutleries and beautiful Ladakhi wooden handicrafts can be purchased as a memorabilia). Stay overnight at hotel. Day 5 Leh to Pangong Lake After breakfast proceed for an excursion to Pangong Lake, a 135 km drive from Leh. The Pangong Lake is 140km long and 3-5km wide- more than half of the lake lies in the Tibetan territory. After full day of sightseeing around the lake check-in at fixed tented camp near the lake at Spangmik or drive back 30kms towards Tangtse and check into hotel/guesthouse for overnight stay. Day 6 Pangong-Hemis / Thiksey-Leh (165kms) After breakfast, leave Pangong / Tangtse and retrace the Leh route across Chang-la. Upon reaching Karu, drive across the Indus and visit the famous Hemis Monastery, biggest monastery of Ladakh. Later drive on to Leh, en route visit the picturesque Thiksey monastery. Overnight at hotel in Leh. Day 7 Leh departure Soon after breakfast transfer to Kushok Bakula Airport for your return flight. Tour ends here. *****

Inner line permit for restricted areas of Nubra, Pangong and Tsomoriri areas (Travelers are required to bring one a photocopy of their photo identity proof along with them).
