Travel Itinerary
Day 1 Arrive Leh
Today you will take early morning flight to Leh. Upon arrival, our representatives will assist you at
Kushok Bakula Rinpoche (KBR) Airport for a transfer to your hotel. Once you check into your hotel with
all formalities you will be at leisure for rest of the day. We recommend you this day to get acclimatized
with the high altitude climate and low air pressure so that you become fit for rest of your journey.
Evening can be utilized for a short walk to local markets. Return back to your rooms for overnight stay.
Day 2 Leh to Uleytokpo
After breakfast check out and proceed to Ulleytokpo (70kms). Drive past Magnetic Point, Sangam
(confluence) of Indus and Zanskar River at Nimu and Alchi Monastery- famous for its 1000 year old
paintings. By afternoon arrive at Uley Resort and retire in the comforts of your room. Stay overnight at
the Uley Resort.
Day 3 Uleytokpo to Leh
After breakfast check out and return to Leh. En route, visit Rizong Nunnery & Spituk Monastery. On
arrival Leh, you will visit Military Hall of Fame, Leh Palace and Shanti Stupa in the afternoon. Stay
overnight in Leh.
Day 4 Leh to Nubra Valley
After breakfast check out hotel and drive to Nubra Valley (125km) crossing Khardongla Pass at 18360ft
above sea level, the world’s highest motorable pass. Afternoon visit Diskit & Hunder Monasteries and
the white sand dunes with perhaps a Camel Safari on the double humped camels which are found
only in Nubra as far as India is concerned. Stay overnight in Nubra Valley.
Day 5 Nubra Valley to Leh
After breakfast visit Samstanling Monastery and then drive back to Leh via Khardongla Pass. Evening
you are free at leisure; opportunity to explore yourself the local bazaars or time for last minute
shopping on your own (items like pure Pashmina shawls, good pearls, Chinese cutleries and beautiful
Ladakhi wooden handicrafts can be purchased as a memorabilia). Stay overnight at hotel.
Day 6 Leh Pangong Lake excursion
After breakfast proceed for an excursion to Pangong Lake, a 135 km drive from Leh. The Pangong
Lake is 140km long and 3-5km wide- more than half of the lake lies in the Tibetan territory. After
spending some time in and around you will return to Leh for overnight stay.
Day 7 Leh departure
Soon after breakfast transfer to Kushok Bakula Airport for your return flight. Tour ends here.
