DAY 1
It was an early start on the first day and we arrived in
school from 6:15am! After packing the bus we started
the long bus journey to Belgium. It was the first time
that some of our students had been on a ferry and some
students came up on deck with Mrs Cook to see the
white cliffs of Dover and the coast of Calais.
We arrived in Belgium in time for our evening meal
before going into rehearsals. Unfortunately, the
heavens opened as we were unpacking the coach and
the British weather that had followed us drenched the
team as we unloaded. The band were able to draw a
fan club during their
rehearsal who bopped
along to their tunes. The
choir drew another couple
of visitors from their rooms
who came and sat on the
staircase to listen before
we all went to bed after a
very long day.
