A staggered set of SSR Type-C wheels ll the four
corners with the wider ones up front for more
traction. Sticky Kumho Ecsta V720 tyres form a
balanced compromise between street and track
use.
In the cockpit, there’s nothing much left as most
of the interior was gutted. A Mirage dashboard
and door cards made the transition over from
the halfcut. A Momo Model 02 steering wheel and
RalliArt gear knob offer improved tactile feel for
the driver’s inputs. A pair of Sparco full bucket
seats hold the driver and passenger in place with
TRW safety harnesses.
Lastly, the exterior is spruced up with Mirage
body panels where possible and the addition of
a GT wing on the rear hatch for downforce and
cosmetic cred. The icing on the cake would be
the Ganador side view mirrors that are more
aerodynamically streamlined.
Taking a step back, this Satria isn’t overwhelming
in any way with the mods done to it and while
some may look down on that, the owner
was looking at precisely this as the goal was
something fun that would not break traction and
the wallet easily.
