MSF 2017 Special Feature
As per the norm in any competitive sport even
more so the no-holds-barred, no quarters
given MSF Series, being the defending overall
champion meant that your fellow competitors
have a sinister intent kept underneath their
cordial smiles and demeanor. Make no mistake
about it Millennium Motorsport Asia’s rivals are
perpetually eyeing their champion crown with
unremitting envy.
Indeed the onus is on Millennium Motorsport Asia
and its glorious line up of ace racing drivers to
defend their crown with the same brilliance and
virtuoso performance that have brought them
the overall 2016 MSF crown. Sure enough, the
2017 MSF season have unfolded with a somewhat
mixed blessing for the Millennium boys; with a
number of mishaps and what have you, all of
which inevitably led to a number of retirements
and DNFs.
Nonetheless they are the defending MSF
Champion, and it goes without saying that such
achievements merits their racing pedigree
inasmuch what they’re all about: pure blooded
racing fanatics through and through. Round
3 saw that man Karamjit Singh blitzing the
Super Street eld in much the same way he’d
dispatched his international rivals in his glorious
Group N days.
In a tightly fought race, team Millennium
Motorsport Asia’s Nishiram Singh/Karamjit Singh
took their rst win of the season after capitalizing
on a mistake by FTuned Racing Team’s Raja
Imran on the penultimate lap. Throughout the
race, a couple of mistakes by Raja Imran allowed
Nishiram Singh/Karamjit Singh to take over the
lead albeit briey before the former retake the
lead. The crucial factor came on the penultimate
lap when another mistake by Raja Imran at turn
15, which ended his onslaught, paving the way
for Nishiram Singh/Karamjit Singh to take their
rst win of the season.
Then on to the recently concluded Round 4 of the
Malaysia Speed Festival 2017, which featured a
one race only Enduro format – 35 minutes long,
mandatory driver change and what not, it was
an altogether totally different challenge for
the hardy racers, both the experienced and the
rookie. Some rose to the occasion while others
fell by the wayside.
