COMMUNITY CARE Old Mutual’s Provincial Management Board (PMB) in the North West province donated R10 000 to Emmanuel Disabled and Old Age Care Centre. The centre is home to 25 HIV positive patients and 89 elderly and disabled people. Submitted by Julie Hutchins ENCOURAGING HEALTHY LIVING IN LANGA Old Mutual Finance (OMF) recently assisted the Langa community in Cape Town with their annual Wellness Day. About 200 people from the community were tested for blood pressure, cholesterol etc and given information about health, fitness and financial wellbeing. OMF assisted with refreshments for those taking part in the event. Submitted by Jayshal Patel PROTECTING OLD MUTUAL’S CROWN JEWELS In April, Rose Keanly hosted the first Crown Jewel User Town Hall session at Mutualpark, for users who have access to Old Mutual’s most sensitive information – our Crown Jewels. The sessions outline the vital role that these users play in protecting our information, in particular our customer information. Sensitive customer information includes personal details such as a name, address, identification number, health information, banking details, location and value of movable assets. The Town Hall sessions and customised Crown Jewel user training sessions help Crown Jewel users understand the steps they need to take on a daily basis to safeguard this sensitive information.
