elcome to the <strong>August</strong> issue of <strong>Pulse</strong>! This month, we’re excited to<br />

spotlight some wonderful members of the <strong>VIVE</strong> team: newly-appointed<br />

general manager, Brent Oliver, and three of our amazing GEX<br />

instructors, Laura Maxson, Sarah Blackburn and Tom Gilmore! You’ll<br />

“hear” from Brent in an exclusive interview, where he discusses his<br />

passion for <strong>VIVE</strong>, the enthusiasm he brings to his new role and more! In our new “Face to<br />

Face” section, you’ll learn more about Laura, Sarah and Tom, what piques their interests<br />

in the fitness realm and which classes you can take with these motivating, energetic<br />

instructors!<br />

This month, we’re also focusing on flexibility. As such, our Move of the Month, the<br />

Posture T, will help decrease back pain while promoting optimal spine health. You can<br />

read about this invigorating exercise on page 6. We’ve also added a new class to our GEX<br />

schedule that helps to keep aging individuals limber: chair yoga! Leading this exciting<br />

new class will be the newest member of the <strong>VIVE</strong> family, Ruth Wheeler! For more<br />

information on our chair yoga class, please visit page 3.<br />

Further, we are thrilled to be in the process of designing exciting new programming<br />

and a revamped GEX schedule for the fall. You can rest assured that your<br />

recommendations are being heard, and that fresh offerings are coming to <strong>VIVE</strong> very<br />

soon! Of course, we won’t give away too much just yet, so you’ll need to<br />
