competition order after splits have been made. To
accommodate splits, contestants may be moved into a
different section.
TR - 150 minimum teams. 30’ score. Hand pull
go-rounds, back to back. W/F’s (top 12 plus splits
to 16). The top 30 positions (based on 2017 money
the direction of the steer). Violation of this rule is
subject to a $100 fine.
SR - 150 minimum entries. 30’ score. Any past NFSR
qualifiers will be accepted as exemptions in the SR
(remote release barrier may be used with Event
Representative approval). Two go- rounds all run in
slack on July 18 (except for the finals). W/F’s (top 12
plus splits to 16). Fresh steers will be used in the finals
on July 31. There will be a stock charge of $50 per goround
(total of $100 per contestant).
ALL EVENTS - If a contestant who qualifies for the
finals notifies a turn-out, doctor’s release, or visible
injury release through PROCOM, the contestant with
in that available position. (Non-notified turn- outs and
visible injury releases after the turn-out deadline will
not be replace). If the next highest ranked contestant
is not available to accept the position, the next highest
ranked contestant may be contacted and placed in
that position. This procedure will be followed until all
positions are filled. In the riding events, if an animals
has already been drawn for a contestant who turnedout,
the replacement contestant will be drawn an
animal from a pool consisting of all animals that have
been turned-out (includes DR’s and VIR’s) and the
first available designated re-ride. Since the number of
contestants accepted to the finals is 12 plus splits to
16, contestants who turn-out will only be replaced if
that number drops below 12.
