they that Care
for Others

Surveys have found that seniors
fear that their savings will expire
before they do, and even more
so fear having to leave their homes. In
Lake Charles, La. Annette Tritico is all
about helping the elderly and handicap
live in their own homes as long as
possible. She has been at Evangeline
Home Health as a Clinical Liaison for
14 years. Annette, a Registered Nurse
for 33 years with a background in
psychiatric nursing is a great asset to
the company and her clients.
Annette says her work is her mission
and not really a job. She smiled as she
said,
“I got my love of community and
helping people from my parents,
Joe and Anita Triitico. Dad was
a lawyer, helping a lot of people;
sometimes without being paid. Lake
Charles is my home. I’ve lived here
all my life except when I was away
in school. I graduated from McNeese
State University with a Bachelor’s
Degree in Nursing. I became certified
as a physician assistant while
working at Methodist Hospital in
Houston Texas.”
Started by a family for families, in
Ville Platte, Evangeline Home Health
served a small area in Evangeline
Parish. By moving the home office
to Basile they can serve a larger area
including Lake Charles
and Lafayette. They kept
their original name and added
services as the needs arose. It is
interesting that a company with a
home office in a small Cajun town is
affiliated with John Hopkins Research
Programs. The large hospital learned
about Evangeline Home Health for the
services they pioneered for the visually
impaired.
Annette tells of their many services;
which are too numerous to list here.
She explains,
“Dad was a World War II Veteran.
In giving back to those who
served our country we offer aid
and attendance for Veterans and
their spouses. In keeping with the
community we work with Calcasieu
Council on Aging to provide light
housekeeping to those who require
it. Evangeline Home Health offers
clients education and rehabilitation
to remain independent. When asked
about assistance at home after
their hospital stay, many ask for
Evangeline Home Health. They assist
clients at their homes, with bathing,
rehab etc.”
Annette’s most recent accomplishment
is becoming a member of the National
Alliance for the Mentally Ill [NAMI ]
Board. She facilitates and serves on
Annette Tritico
several other boards and
counsels. Annette is a busy person but
she’s never too busy to listen, chat or
give a hug.
Annette’s Mother, Anita Tritico passed
away in 2011. As her care giver Annette
realized even as a nurse she couldn’t
remember everything about her
patient –loved one when going in to
emergency rooms, doctor’s offices and
other facilities. This is when the idea for
M D Binder was first hatched.
Annette is the CEO of Tritico
Creations and founder of Medical
Directory Binder. She custom
designed this bright red book, to take
to doctor’s appointments, hospitals and
use at home. The book is designed to
organize information and become your
medical advocate. There is a place in
the binder designed for demographic
and insurance information. Medical
and surgical data, medical records,
doctors’ information, Lab and x-ray
results Immunization records and legal
information. Included inside are aids
to write notes, symptom check-lists,
health summary, zip pocket, marker
and pen, a 3-hole punch and more.
