Frank Young Pryce is a Lake Charles, La.,<br />

native born to the late Dr. Ulric W. and<br />

Beatrice Young Pryce. He is the second <strong>of</strong><br />

five children and is currently married to<br />

Delores R. Pryce.<br />

He was a graduate <strong>of</strong> Sacred Heart <strong>of</strong><br />

Jesus Catholic School in Lake Charles,<br />

La., and attended Dillard University in<br />

New Orleans, La., for his undergraduate<br />

degree studies. He later graduated<br />

from the Howard University, School <strong>of</strong><br />

Pharmacology in Washington, D.C (1953),<br />

and is a United States Army Veteran.<br />

He is a third-generation owner and<br />

manager <strong>of</strong> Pryce’s Pharmacy in Lake<br />

Charles, La., established in 1908 by his<br />

grandfather, Dr. George S. Pryce, serving<br />

this community for over 100 years.<br />

Mr. Pryce says, “African Americans need<br />

more ‘Leadership’ as mentors throughout<br />

all the communities that they live in,<br />

whether North, South, East or West.<br />
