scale, accurate lunar charts will be required to complete detailed
plane- Data can be obtained for such charts from a lunar orbiting
photographic satellite which vill provide sufficient resolution and
overlap to enable Btereographic compilation of contours and elevations.
The NASA proposed Lunar Orblter program Is a possible source
of the required data.
Planning for construction of the expedition facility can begin
only after detailed surface information becomes available. Examination
of returned lunar core samples vill be necessary before plans
can be completed.
