Sports Center<br />
This month, the <strong>Mauldin</strong> Sports Center started a 30-Day Fitness Challenge! The center<br />
also announced that Jennifer Edwins will be hosting a new group fitness program,<br />
“R.I.P.P.E.D. Rumble,” beginning in October. Fitness instructors have hosted POUND,<br />
Zumba, and Boot Camp at the BeWell Market in July, with POUND seeing the largest<br />
participation.<br />
Ray Hopkins Senior Center<br />
Senior Center members went to Chattanooga, TN where they took a Duck Tour of the<br />
downtown area. They also visited Coolidge Park, walked the Walnut Street Bridge,<br />
and took a tour of Chattanooga Whiskey Distillery.<br />
The seniors enjoyed a play at Flat Rock Playhouse titled The Dixie Swim Club, followed<br />
by dinner at Hanna Flanagan’s Irish Pub in Hendersonville.<br />
The Georgia Aquarium was an amazing time for <strong>Mauldin</strong> seniors as they checked out<br />
the dolphin and sea lion shows as well as the other exhibits including, their favorite,<br />
the otter tank.<br />
Seniors traveled to Rosman, NC to kayak the French Broad River. Keeping their<br />
cool and enjoying the summer weather, the Senior Center finished off this month’s<br />
programming with a picnic and swimming at Lake Jocassee.<br />
