Daisy Drama Club : Spotlight!

‘I don’t like it here anymore!’ said Susie getting the
creeps. ‘Not at all! Pleath can we go home!’
‘Look!’ shouted Harry.
A small figure in a red coat with a hood crossed the
woodland path. She was hurrying along, carrying
a basket and was quickly swallowed up by the
dense trees.
‘Red Riding Hood!’ whispered Abby.
‘Leaping liquorice! Impossible!’ said Harry and
Hen together.
There was a blood curdling howl. Out of a bush
flew an enormous grey hairy beast. It stopped for an
instant, surprised by the girls, then snarled, showing
vicious razor-sharp white teeth and bright crimson
gums, dripping with saliva. The snarl became a
hideous howl then it turned and raced into
the woods after the little figure in red.
‘Aaaaaaaaahh ... the wolf!’
screamed Susie, terrified.
The DDC charged out of Dragon’s Wood as fast
as they could, tearing down the hill, through the
meadows bordering Wissop village, at top speed back
up Blacksmith Lane and into the safety of
The Barn Theatre, where they sat on the edge of the
stage puffing and panting and trying to catch
their breath.
