Daisy Drama Club : Spotlight!

Albert had taken out all the old milk crates from
the open space at the back of Miranda and welded
two armchairs and a sofa to the floor which made it
a most luxurious ride for passengers. To stop it being
too windy a ride he had fixed a curtain at half height
so passengers would have warm knees but still be able
to admire the view. All in all it was a most comfortable
way of travelling.
‘Bye Beaky,’ waved Albert, putting on his Sunny
Smiles Dairy milkman’s cap and driving off, whistling.
Whistling and wearing the milkman’s cap were two
habits that he could not shake off when he was at the
wheel of Miranda. ‘Come round tomorrow and we’ll
have another go at the script!’
‘Bye Grandpa,’ said Beaky and she watched
Miranda stop and start as she made her way jerkily
down the lane to deliver the five old people back to
the doorstep of Battleaxe Barracks.
