B E AU T Y Undone chic AWARD-WINNING HAIRDRESSER EMMA STEVEN TAKES A LOOK AT SOME OF THE HOTTEST HAIR TRENDS FOR AUTUMN This season’s style update takes on a more relaxed, casually cool aesthetic, with sleek polished dos out in favour of a more effortless, undone look. Styles Emma says: “This season we’re seeing lots of undone, messy, low into the nape ponytails, as well as a lot of hair up; beehives and high crowns are back in a big way. Top knots are another gorgeous way to create an effortless up-do; the top knot is this season’s messy bun. “When it comes to styling, we’re going back to using blowdrying techniques rather than heat styling with straighteners and curling tongs, which helps to create that more cool, undone look.” C olours “Emma says: “Pink is the new blonde, and it’s going to be around for a while yet, adding a warmer feel to this season’s blondes. Rose gold is still something we’ll see a lot of, as well as coppery and golden toned blondes - it really is all about warm tones as we head into the colder months. “Balayage and ombres are still very on trend, as opposed to flat colour; again, it’s all about a more casual, relaxed chic rather than anything too perfectly polished.” Cuts Emma says: “This season we’re going from one extreme to the other.
