Restrictions<br />

Articles sent for <strong>com</strong>mercial purposes will not be admitted<br />

unless the addressee has obtained an import permit issued<br />

by the Centrale Dienst voor Inen Uitvoer, van Stolkweg 14,<br />

Gravenhage, and where necessary, a currency permit issued<br />

by the Nederlandsche Bank at Amsterdam.<br />

Authorization from the Nederlandsche Bank is required to be<br />

obtained by the addressee for the importation of current<br />

instruments of payment; securities; acknowledgments of<br />

debt; and shares of stock.<br />

Cigarettes are prohibited. In addition, gift shipments of the<br />

following tobacco product from one individual to another are<br />

limited to the following maximum quantities and a value of<br />

no more than 45 Euros: 1) 10 cigars; 2) 25 cigarillos<br />

(maximum weight, 3 grams each); or 3) 50 grams of pipe<br />

tobacco.<br />

Meat or meat products (including poultry and wild game) and<br />

milk or milk products cannot exceed 1 kilogram<br />

(approximately 2.2 lbs.), and any such products must be<br />

ac<strong>com</strong>panied by a veterinary certificate issued by the<br />

responsible official authority from the country of origin.<br />

Observations<br />

1. A parcel may be addressed to a street address or to a post<br />

office box. A local telephone number for the addressee<br />

should be provided when the item is addressed to a street<br />

address and must be provided when the item is addressed<br />

to a post office box.<br />

2. For parcels, an invoice, in duplicate, is required for all<br />

<strong>com</strong>mercial shipments regardless of value and all personal<br />

shipments valued at $300 or more. The invoices must be<br />

affixed to the outside of the parcel or may be enclosed in PS<br />

Form 2976-E with the customs declaration.<br />

The surface area of the address side of the item to be mailed<br />

must be large enough to <strong>com</strong>pletely contain the Global<br />

Express Guaranteed Air Waybill/Shipping Invoice (shipping<br />

label), postage, endorsement, and any applicable markings.<br />

The shipping label is approximately 5.5 inches high and<br />

9.5 inches long.<br />
