214.2 Preparation by Acceptance Employee<br />

Prior to acceptance, <strong>Postal</strong> Service acceptance employees must do the<br />

following:<br />

a. Check that the sender has properly <strong>com</strong>pleted the Global Express<br />

Guaranteed Air Waybill/Shipping Invoice.<br />

b. Complete the postage transaction if the item is not prepaid.<br />

c. Complete the “Origin” information.<br />

d. Remove the customer’s copy of the Global Express Guaranteed Air<br />

Waybill/Shipping Invoice and give it to the customer. Process the<br />

Global Express Guaranteed Air Waybill/Shipping Invoice according to<br />

directions on the shipping document.<br />

215 <strong>Mail</strong> Entry and Deposit<br />

215.1 Entry Service Areas — U.S. Origins<br />

Global Express Guaranteed items must be entered through selected Post<br />

Office facilities that are located in the ZIP Code areas listed in Exhibit 215.1.<br />

Not all facilities within a 3-digit ZIP Code area accept Global Express<br />

Guaranteed items. Check with a local Post Office facility for the nearest<br />

participating facilities.<br />
