Campbell
Alastair John Campbell is a British journalist, broadcaster, political aide and
author, best known for his work As Prime Minister Tony Blair?s spokesman, press
secretary and director of communications and strategy, he was seconded to
Buckingham Palace to help with funeral arrangements of Princess Diana
Here, he remembers the events after Dianas fatal car crash, and he reveals how
Diana?s passing changed society and made a huge impact on the world .
Mr Campbell discloses his first meetings with Diana, Princess of Wales , and the
aftermath experienced dealing with funeral preparations
In his book Campbell describes the late Princess as
?Absolutely, spell-bindingly gorgeous ? her eyes locked on to you ? perfect skin ?
there were moments when I had to fight to hear the words because I was just lost
in the beauty.?
There was something about her eyes that went beyond radiance," he said. "They locked on to you
and were utterly mesmeric. She had perfect skin and her whole face lit upn when she spoke and
there were moments when I had to fight to hear the words because I?m just lost in the beauty
Alastair descibes Diana was a curious mix of fun (with a lovely girlish laugh, a beautiful
smile and the ability to take the mickey out of herself) and insecurity. He said that
over dinner she spoke of the boys and made it clear she wanted William to be King,
even if it meant skipping out Prince Charles
