Northumberland Greyhound
Rescue was originally started to
help re-home greyhounds from
independent 'flapping' tracks.
As welfare is improving and
flapping tracks are now in the
minority, most of our dogs are
sourced from trainers at
professional tracks throughout
the North East.
Now based near Hexham,
situated in 27 acres, the
re-homing centre has
kennelling facilities for 22
retired dogs.
The kennels are owned and run
by Diane Gibbinson who is
helped by willing volunteers.
Anyone who is considering
re-homing a greyhound can
visit and walk the dogs - by
prior arrangement with Diane
