PARIS TO ISTANBUL IN
NEW GRAND SUITES
Step back in time with a journey aboard Belmond’s
historic Venice Simplon-Orient-Express – a
luxury train adventure that takes guests to some
of the most romantic cities in Europe. And with elegant
new ‘Grand Suites’ launching in March 2018, guests can
travel in both comfort and style.
“This is a one of a kind restoration project,” said
Gary Franklin, Managing Director of Trains & Cruises
with Belmond. “The designs are sensitive to the original
history of the carriages and each cabin is inspired by the
city it represents.”
The three suites – Paris, Venice, and Istanbul – were
designed by London’s Wimberly Interiors to maintain
the train’s signature art deco design while showcasing
the unique spirit of each city. Immerse yourself in the
haute couture of classic Paris, the grandeur of Baroque
Italy, or the rich opulence of Istanbul. Both glamorous
and nostalgic, these timeless suites provide double
beds, a spacious living area, and ensuite bathrooms with
showers – luxuries that come rare when on rails.
From March to November, the Venice Simplon-
Orient-Express travels between London, Paris, and
Venice. Guests can experience the extraordinary six-day
journey from Paris to Istanbul just once per year, in
August/September, with three nights spent on board the
train and luxury hotel accommodations in Budapest and
