HELP LOWER OXIDATIVE STRESS
AND INFLAMMATORY DISEASES
Studies have shown that probiotic
bacteria like DG (LC-DG) or Lactobacillus
casei, produce advantageous postbiotic
byproducts that could help regulate
immune/inflammatory responses. In some
studies, it has been found that postbiotics
like propionate, butyrate, and acetate
are linked to lowered generation and
regeneration of reactive oxygen species,
regulation of apoptosis, and inflammatory
suppression. Considering their ability to
lower inflammation like after a patient
has recovered from an infection or illness,
postbiotics and probiotics can work
together, be very helpful for treating
IBD and IBS symptoms amongst other
inflammatory conditions. Some studies
even show that in specific cases when
probiotics aren’t necessarily helpful or safe
to administer to patients with irritated GI
tissues, postbiotics could be the best and
safest alternative to treat IBD patients in
the acute inflammatory phase.
COULD HELP PREVENT DIABETES
AND LOWER BLOOD SUGAR
A recent study conducted at McMaster
University in Canada showed that the use of
postbiotics can be linked to the reduction
in blood sugar levels in individuals
considered prediabetic. Postbiotics appear
to offer anti-diabetic effects since they
improve how the body utilizes insulin.
Researchers suggest that postbiotics
work by lowering fat inflammation and
lowering the liver’s insulin resistance. Mice
