The East Africa region is largely the five<br />
countries of, Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda,<br />
Burundi and Tanzania.<br />
In terms of tourism, Tanzania’s Zanzibar is<br />
top notch because of its fascinating history and<br />
the incredible beaches. Its location in the Indian<br />
ocean (off the coast of Tanzania) made it a huge<br />
trading centre over time. Zanzibar is famous for<br />
its spices and having become an important slave<br />
trade post under the Arab rule. The influences of<br />
the Arab rule are obvious on the island, especially<br />
in the famous stone town - one of the island’s<br />
biggest attractions.<br />

Nakuru National Park in Kenya<br />
is the place for you. Lake Nakuru is famous for its<br />
huge flocks of flamingos that enjoy the alkaline<br />
waters of this shallow soda lake. Other than one<br />
million flamingos and more species of birds, the<br />
park is also home to white rhino, warthog, giraffe,<br />
hippo, ostrich and lion.<br />
