Virunga mountains (Tracking gorillas),
Rwanda, Uganda
With only about seven thousand mountain
gorillas left in the world, you might consider
visiting the Virunga Mountains because seeing
them in the wild is something a few people will
ever have the chance to experience. About 300
gorillas inhabit an extinct volcanic region, the
Virunga range along the borders of Rwanda,
Uganda and Congo. It is a fascinating and
intimating sight!
Murchison falls
Uganda
Murchison falls also known as
Kabarega falls, is a waterfall between Lake
Kyoga and Lake Albert on the White Nile
River in Uganda. Within the same vicinity
like the fall, are Bugungu and Karuma falls,
wildlife reserves and the river banks, thronged
with hippos, crocodiles, waterbucks and
buffaloes. The vegetation is characterized
by savannah, forests and woodland.
Also not to be missed in the park is
Chobe safari lodge, the gem in Uganda’s
crown of tourism destinations. Apart from the
breathtaking views, sounds of the river Nile
magnificent rapids, wildlife, birds, the area is
also ideal for fishing.
